FIONA

Three years ago today you passed away,

We didn’t know then that you could not stay.

I will always feel guilty that I didn’t make it to say goodbye—
The real words on that very sad day.

Now I can remember you with a smile,
God’s planned day will come, but it will be a little while.

God’s trumpet will call, Jesus will be on His way,
The Bible foretells the timescale, but it will not be today.

Man doesn’t know when, nor the angels up above,
Only our Heavenly Father, who is full of love.

The dead will be awakened and come forth from their earthly graves,
Through Jesus Christ’s atonement, truly mankind He saves.

You clearly loved the Gospel as much as me,
And you knew that Satan would be bound for a thousand years, as we believe.

Then we will be judged for all our deeds,
The final plan to remove the wicked and all of those weeds.

A beautiful time ahead when Satan will be no more,
A big hug for all as we walk through the door.

Until that day, memories we will adore,
Then there will be no more death, sorrow, or pain evermore.

Injustice gone forever, paradise we will reclaim,
Eternal happiness under Christ the King, forever the same.

What a prospect—how the angels will sing.
